Nine out of eleven participants in the latest Chronic Disease Self-Management Education Program at Staunton Senior Center successfully completed the workshop on Nov. 17.
The group had met for six consecutive Thursdays in the Wintergarden at Gypsy Hill Place, exploring many techniques to better manage their chronic illnesses. The three leaders greatly enjoyed facilitating this group of people which grew close to each other as they shared their stories and lives with one another.
The next workshop, with some new material included, will be conducted during the spring of 2013, so watch for the dates in an upcoming announcement.
