Late recap: Strasburg blitzed in 14-6 loss at Arizona

strasburgStephen Strasburg was rocked in another short stint as the Washington Nationals lost on the road at Arizona, 14-6, Tuesday night.

Strasburg (2-4) gave up eight runs, seven earned, on eight hits in three and a third innings, striking out three and walking one. His ERA in 2015 ballooned to 6.06 through seven starts, and his WHIP is an abysmal 1.71.

The Diamondbacks broke the game open with a five-run fourth, the big blow coming on a three-run homer by Mark Trumbo that chased Strasburg.

Bryce Harper was a bright spot for the Nats in the blowout loss, hitting his 12th homer of the season, a two-run shot in the sixth.
