James River State Park plans Summer Festival

Calendar 2013James River State Park is hosting its annual Summer Festival on Saturday, July 20 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  at the Canoe Landing Picnic Area.

Spend a fun-filled day in the park with canoe and kayak races, Bateau rides, a Super Soaker Challenge, great food, and much more.

James River State Park is offering a bounce house for kids, tie dye T-shirts, and even a silent auction by the Friends of James River State Park.

This event is free and sponsored by The Friends of James River State Park and The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries.  A parking fee of $3 per vehicle is required at the contact station when you first enter the park.
