Investigation: Augusta County man arrested, faces 10 child sex abuse felony charges

An Augusta County man faces 10 felony charges involving child sex abuse after an investigation led to his arrest on July 24.

Brian L. Shorter, 49, of Waynesboro, is alleged to have abused a male teen over a two-year period, according to a news release from the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office.

The alleged abuse occurred at Shorter’s home in the 400 block of East Side Highway.

Shorter is being held without bond in Middle River Regional Jail.
