Hearing Healthcare Tip: Bring a friend, family member to your hearing test

Contributors

hearing healthcareYou may be thinking that you might be experiencing issues with hearing loss. But those who know best are your friends and family.

That’s why it is important to look at your hearing test as a sort of family event.

The reason: often it’s a spouse, child or friend who first notices that you may have a problem.

So you may wish to ask someone close to you whether they are aware of any difficulties you may be having, and how it is affecting them.

Many hearing care professionals prefer that you bring a spouse, family member or friend to your visit. If hearing instruments are to be recommended, it is helpful to have someone present who would be involved in that decision process to participate in that consultation.
