Hearing Healthcare: Bring a friend along for your hearing test

hearing-health-carePeople experiencing hearing loss don’t experience the loss in a vacuum. Those around you are also impacted. That’s why it is important to look at your hearing test as a family event.

The sense of hearing really is a social experience. Often it’s a spouse, child or friend who first notices that you may have a problem.

So you may wish to ask someone close to you whether they are aware of any difficulties you may be having, and how it is affecting them.

Many hearing care professionals prefer that you bring a spouse, family member or friend to your visit. If hearing instruments are to be recommended, it is helpful to have someone present who would be involved in that decision process to participate in that consultation.

Do something about it!

Hearing Healthcare of Virginia is offering complimentary hearing screenings at its six locations in the Shenandoah Valley and Central Virginia – Charlottesville, Covington, Culpeper, Fishersville, Harrisonburg, and Lexington.
