hearing healthcareFebruary is the month of love. Do you have a loved one who has issues with hearing loss?

Hearing Healthcare of Virginia, with six locations in the Shenandoah Valley and Central Virginia, is pitching in to make it easier for people to get a baseline hearing screening.

Hearing Healthcare offers free baseline hearing screenings to local residents over the age of 50 through its Community Wellness Program.

The free 15-minute screenings will be offered at Hearing Healthcare of Virginia locations in Charlottesville, Covington, Culpeper, Fishersville, Harrisonburg and Lexington.

Recent studies have shown a direct link between hearing loss and diabetes, dementia, cardiovascular disease and depression. Citing these studies, the American Medical Association is recommending that everyone over the age of 50 have an annual hearing screening.
