In some cases, your hearing healthcare professional will offer you hearing and communication exercises, commonly called auditory training or aural rehabilitation, as well as communication strategies for optimizing use of your hearing aids.
Today, some auditory training can be done at home with a personal computer. Research has shown these auditory training exercises to be extremely beneficial at getting the most out of your hearing aids. Be sure to ask your HHP what auditory training exercises are right for you.
