Healthy snacks to fill you with energy

So what are healthy snacks?
- Smoothies. Smoothies can be used as a substitute for food, if they are made with a sufficient amount of ingredients. Depending on what you put into the cocktail that may comprise anywhere between 400 and 600 calories, respectively, after its use you won’t feel hungry for a couple of hours.
- Apples and bananas. They are rich in vitamins and minerals, the best source of flavonoids and polyphenol (good antioxidants) and potassium (maintains normal blood pressure and heart activity of the body)
- Almonds and other nuts. The best snack in a healthy diet are nuts because they contain monounsaturated fats. This kind of fat is actually good for you and can even help to clean your arteries and protect your heart from diseases. Monounsaturated fats are found in olive oil, nuts and sunflower seeds, they reduce the level of bad cholesterol in the blood.
- Dark chocolate. Natural dark chocolate is better than sweet snacks that contain refined starches and destroy the vitamins necessary for energy. But sugar is a part of the chocolate, so restrict its consumption to about 57 grams per day.
- Pumpkin Seeds. If you decide to eat them, be sure to choose a bag of seeds, which contains very little salt, but better to use seeds without salt at all. If healthy foods contain a lot of salt, it is not getting healthy food. Salty foods is good in moderation, but not in a great amount.
- Oatmeal. Try to eat oatmeal in the morning and in 25 minutes you can eat some fruit. Sprinkle with cinnamon porridge brings even greater benefits and flavor. See more here.
- Salad. Typically, salad crops are: celery, radishes, basil, lettuce, radish and Chinese cabbage. Also, this list includes vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, onions, peppers. Of course, salads can’t do without spices. The key spices are – black / red pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, curry, paprika, cumin and caraway seeds.
- Pineapple. Pineapple is digested easily and contains the enzyme bromelain, which aids in digestion and cleaning properties. Again, do not forget to have a pineapple on an empty stomach and do not combine it with other products.
- Low-fat yogurt. A cup of yogurt typically contains 3.2 grams of fat and 150 calories. This is a much better option than something like ice cream.
- Herbal tea. You can drink herbal tea if you do not want to eat at night, in the morning or in the middle of the day. Just make sure it has no caffeine.
- Jerky beef. Who knows that jerky beef is actually a very healthy and light snack, contrary to popular belief? Approximately 30 grams of dried beef contains about 70-80 calories, 12 grams of protein and about 1 gram of fat.
