Harrisonburg Police seek suspect in strong-arm robbery

dollar generalHarrisonburg Police are seeking an unidentified man who robbed a customer at the Dollar General store off North Main Street Thursday evening.

The male, according to police, exited the passenger side of a light colored four-door vehicle at approximately 9 p.m., walked into the business, ordered a customer to give him money and left the business.

The male is described as a stocky, white male with his face covered wearing dark sweat pants, a grey hooded sweat shirt and a dark beanie cap.

The Harrisonburg Police Department asks anyone who may have information to contact the Major Crimes Unit by calling (540) 437-2640. Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Solvers by calling (540) 574-5050 or by texting “HPD” plus their tip to CRIMES (274637).
