On May 31, 2013, the Harrisonburg Community Health Center applied to the Department of Health and Human Services for additional Outreach Funding to add staff to help patients become familiar with and enroll in affordable health insurance coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplaces, Medicaid, or the Children’s Health Insurance Program.
The HCHC expects an award of $84,000. Outreach efforts will begin in late August/early September. More information about outreach locations and contact information will be posted in September.
