baltimore oriolesThe seven-game season-opening winning streak for Baltimore came to an end in a 4-2 O’s loss at Boston on Wednesday.

The Orioles got on the board first with a two-run Chris Davis homer in the third, but that was it for the offense for the day.

Boston tied the game in the bottom of the third on a two-run double by Xander Bogaerts, and took the lead in the fourth on an RBI triple by Jackie Bradley Jr. and an RBI groundout by Mookie Betts.

Ubaldo Jimenez (1-1) took the loss for the O’s, giving up four runs on six hits in five innings of work, striking out five and walking four.

UVA alum Tyler Wilson put up three scoreless innings of relief for Baltimore, giving up two hits, striking out two and not walking anyone.
