WTA’s Gateway and the hamner theater join forces once again to present “Lovers and Other (Familiar) Strangers”.  The performances are scheduled for 8:00pm on Friday and Saturday, May 9 – 10 at 329 West Main Street in Downtown Waynesboro.

“Lovers and Other (Familiar) Strangers” is 5 short plays featuring: Jon Cobb, Christina Courtenay, Emma Givens, Larry Goldstein, Shawn Hirabayashi, Jim Johnston, Boomie Pedersen and Allen K. Robinson with music by Band of Lovers (Jon Cobb and Emma Givens). The plays are “Paradise” by Joel Jones, “Sure Thing” by David Ives, “Marred Bliss” by Mark O’Donnell, “Play (Hi Stan)” by Shawn Hirabayashi, and “I’m Herbert” by Robert Anderson.

An Off-off Broadway theatre in Central Virginia, the earl hamner Jr. Theatre brings the best in modern theatre to its audience. The May performances follow the successful adaption of Earl Hamner’s novella “The Homecoming” in December and the November Murder Mystery.

Advance tickets for the performances are $10 and are available online at www.wtagateway.com or by calling the box office(540-943-9999).  Remaining tickets will be available at the door on the evening of the performances for $12. WTA’s Gateway box office opens thirty minutes prior to the performance start time.  Seating is limited so advanced reservations are suggested.  The May 9 and 10 performances will start at 8:00 pm at WTA’s Gateway at 329 W. Main St. downtown Waynesboro, VA.
