New Dominion BookshopNew Dominion Bookshop in Charlottesville will host a drawing workshop and book signing with graphic novelist Laura Lee Gulledge on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Laura Lee Gulledge will be sharing inspirational drawing prompts from her new book, Sketchbook Dares. This event is free to attend.

In this special interactive event, local graphic novelist Laura Lee Gulledge will share her love of sketchbooks and demonstrate some of her favorite drawing activities featured in her new book of creative prompts, Sketchbook Dares: 24 Ways to Draw Out Your Inner Artist. The best part? You’ll be invited to draw along! Plus, she’ll share how sketchbooks can help you find your voice, build confidence, and even lead to making graphic novels. Because tackling the blank page does make you daring! Amateur and scaredy-cat artists of all ages are welcome.

Her debut graphic novel, Page by Paige, was nominated for both the Eisner and Harvey Awards, including Most Promising New Talent.
