Virginia is making its ninth NCAA Tournament regional semifinal appearance and first since 2014 when the No. 1 seeded Cavaliers were eliminated by No. 4 seed Michigan State (61-59) at Madison Square Garden.

This is Virginia’s third consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance under two-time ACC Coach of the Year Tony Bennett. The Cavaliers have compiled an all-time record of 27-19 in 20 NCAA tournaments. UVA advanced to the NCAA Final Four in 1981 and 1984. It’s the fifth time Virginia has been a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Due to anticipated high demand and limited ticket availability, ticket requests for the NCAA tournament regional games played at United Center are open only to Virginia Athletics Foundation donors and 2015-16 men’s basketball season ticket holders.

NCAA Tournament regional round ticket requests may be made online at VirginiaSports.com using one’s registered online account. The deadline to request tickets was Sunday, March 20 at 5 p.m. Requests will be filled according to Virginia Athletics Foundation Priority Point order. All donors and season ticket holders requesting tickets will be notified by email with the status of their request.

Regional tickets outside Virginia’s seating block at United Center are sold out.

UVA students may request tickets for NCAA Tournament regional round games online at UVAShots.com on Monday, March 21 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.  Students awarded a ticket will be notified by email and will need to enter the SHOTS system to pay for their ticket by 5 p.m. on Monday, March 21. Payment will be for one ticket for both the regional semifinal and regional championship games. Student orders will be limited to one ticket per student.

Regional ticket booklets cost $250 or $300 and include tickets to the regional semifinal and championship games regardless of whether or not Virginia advances to the regional championship game.
