- The Cavaliers aim to snap a three-game losing streak after dropping all three games against then-No. 10 Clemson at Disharoon Park this past weekend.

- Freshman Kyle Whitten will make his second career start on Tuesday. He has appeared in 15 games, for Virginia this season.
- In his first collegiate start against Liberty on April 18, Whitten established career-high in innings pitched (4.2) and strikeouts (6). He retired nine batters in a row after walking the first batter of the game and earned his second win of the season.
- Seven different Virginia relievers combined to for 17 strikeouts in 11 innings of work in the three-game series against Clemson.

- Weber comes intoTuesdayranked second in the ACC in hits (63) and doubles (17). At .358, he comes into Tuesday with the third-highest batting average in the league.

- Freshman Hogan Brown was the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week after reaching base 17 times (15 hits, 5 walks) last week. Brown leads the league in batting and is 37thin the country with a .380 average.
- The Rams sport a .982 fielding percentage, the sixth-highest in the country.
