Flood Watch in effect today: 2 inches of rain possible

newspaperThe National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Augusta County and Rockingham County through 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The forecast has the region – including the cities of Harrisonburg, Staunton and Waynesboro – in line for up to 2 inches of rain, with locally heavier amounts possible.

Small streams and low-lying and poor-drainage areas could experience moderate flooding today.
