Fishburne Military School color guardThe Fishburne Military School Color Guard has been honored with an invitation by the Baltimore Orioles to perform this Sunday, April 29th, during the National Anthem as the O’s face the Detroit Tigers at Camden Yards (1:05pm EST).

“This is a tremendous honor for our young men,” notes LTC Robert Hunt, USA(Ret.), Fishburne Military School’s Senior Army Instructor. “Being invited to perform on a stage like this is certainly a testament to our young men’s skill and professionalism.”

The Fishburne Military School Color Guard has, indeed, gained a solid reputation over the years as being well-drilled, well-polished and professional. Recently, the Caissons have been tapped to present the colors for UVA football, the Washington Wizards, the Washington Nationals, and the Association of the United States Army (AUSA), among other high-profile events.

As a Corps, the Fishburne Military School Cadets have also recently appeared in the inaugurations of Governor Ralph Northam and President Donald Trump. Their first appearance in a Gubernatorial Inauguration came when Fishburne Military School Alumnus Gerald Baliles (FMS Class of 1959) was elected Governor of Virginia in 1986.

Fishburne will celebrate its 100th year as United States JROTC unit next year and is designated as an Honor Unit with Distinction within the US Army Cadet Command’s 4th Brigade.
