Fatty Lumpkin and the Love Hogs return to Lime Kiln

Contributors

On Saturday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m., friends of Theater at Lime Kiln Fatty Lumpkin and the Love Hogs return to Lexington to perform classic rock and roll. The band, once a local favorite, reunited last year to open for Rolling Stones cover band Satisfaction.
Fatty Lumpkin is excited to be playing on the Lime Kiln stage once again. Many will recall this local band opening the Lime Kiln summer concert series for several years in the mid-1990s with their tight versions of well-known rock, blues and soul numbers. The band broke up several years ago after its lead singer and guitar player, Michael George, moved to South Carolina. However, the band reunited to play Lime Kiln two years ago.

The band was extremely popular in the 1990s and played both in this area and throughout the state. Whether it was songs by Eric Clapton, Delbert McClinton, Buddy Guy or Stevie Ray Vaughn, the band always brought the crowd to their feet.

Fatty Lumpkin consists of Michael George on lead vocals and guitar, Ray Cohen on percussion and harmonica, Greg Montgomery on bass guitar, Lance Foster on drums and John Vita on lead guitar and vocals. The band promises a rocking start to what will be a great evening of rock and roll.
