Faithful Praise showcased at WTA’s Gateway

WTA’s Gateway will showcase Faithful Praise, a unique group of musicans who bring a fresh energy to gospel music on Friday, April 6.  Based out of the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, LaDena Knott, Tommy Fortune, and Shari DeLange have joined together as Faithful Praise to create a sound that one would expect to hear from a family that has sung together for years.  The April 6th performance is at 7:30 pm at 329 West Main in downtown Waynesboro.

Each member of Faithful Praise brings his/her own style to the group’s mix of old and new gospel songs. Tommy Fortune has been involved in music all his life.  He has travelled throughout the US and performed with several goups.  He has sung at a variety of venues including the Grand Ole Opry. A talented bass and mandolin player, Tommy has a smooth tenor and lead vocal sound.

Shari DeLong has been involved in church music her entire life. A church pianist as a youth, she continued to use her talents at a Christian college, traveling two summers throughout the U.S. and Canada. Shari has sung on various praise teams and with several groups, including Circle of Faith, a ladies quartet that sang extensively in the Shenandoah Valley.

LaDena Knott has been singing all of her life, starting solos in church by the age of 7. At Liberty University, she was a chosen to be a member of the premiere group, “The Light Singers.” LaDena also sang for many years with Shari in the ladies quartet, Circle of Faith.

Tickets for Faithful Praise’s performance are $10 and are available online at www.wtagateway.com or at the box office 540-943-9999.  Available tickets can be purchased at the box office on the night of performance.
