Even as a serious student of the Bible, Bushong was like so many others that read God’s Word with a collection of preconceived notions assimilated over the years from the pulpit, religious books, and even the media. Unconsciously, of course, his assumptions about the meaning of Scriptural passages dictated how he “learned” God’s message.
An unexpected turn of events changed Jim’s life inexorably when he was diagnosed with Stage IV prostate cancer in January 2002.
