Exit 247 on-ramp on Interstate 81 in Harrisonburg closed May 21-22 for repairs

interstate 81The on-ramp from Route 33 (East Market Street) to southbound Interstate 81 at exit 247 in Harrisonburg will close during the night of May 21-22. This closure is for milling and paving scheduled to take place from 9 p.m. Monday, May 21, through 5 a.m. Tuesday, May 22. All work is weather permitting.

During the work hours, Route 33 drivers who need to access southbound I-81 will follow Route 33 to Martin Luther King Jr. Way south, Route 11 (South Main Street) south, and then Route 253 (Port Republic Road) east to I-81 at exit 245.
