Daily Living Center hosts 2019 Golden Mile

daily living centerThe Daily Living Center in Waynesboro is hosting the 2019 Golden Mile Fundraiser on Sunday, May 5, at 2 p.m.

The Golden Mile is the largest annual fundraiser of the Daily Living Center, a non-profit adult day health care center serving individuals 18 years old and older in our community with special needs and debilitating diseases such as stroke, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.

The Golden Mile supports the work of the Daily Living Center:

  • Affordable day time care for adults needing assistance in a safe and secure environment
  • Respite care for their caregivers
  • Planned activities to help care for the physical, mental, emotional and social well-being of participants
  • Professional staff of nurses and certified nursing assistants
  • Nutritious hot noon meals and snacks

The Golden Mile will begin at 2 p.m. at the center. The walk will proceed from the DLC around William Perry Elementary School. Fellowship, refreshments and recognition ceremony to follow the walk at the center.
