The following highway work is scheduled, weather permitting, in the Culpeper District during the upcoming week. Traffic movements may be restricted and speed limits reduced in work zones. (NEW) or (UPDATE) indicate revisions since last week’s report.

Albemarle County
Interstate 64 – Westbound paving operations between mile markers 127 and 123. Expect lane closures nightly Monday through Friday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
(UPDATE) Interstate 64 – Tree trimming operations on the entrance and exit ramps to Route 250/Crozet at mile marker 107. Be alert for workers near the travel lanes Monday through Friday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Interstate 64 – Westbound fence repairs on the exit 121 ramp. Be alert for workers near the travel lane Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Interstate 64 – Installation of signs eastbound between mile markers 123 and 124 and westbound between mile markers 126 and 124. Be alert for workers near the travel lanes Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
(NEW) Route 20 (Monticello Avenue) – Bridge work over Moores Creek. Expect lane closures Sunday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
(NEW) Route 250 (Richmond Road) – Inspection of bridge over Rivanna River at Charlottesville city limits. Expect lane closures Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
(NEW) Route 250 (Ivy Road) – Utility work under VDOT permit near Route 601 (Old Garth Road). Westbound traffic will be shifted into the left turn lane. Obey traffic controls Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Route 654 (Barracks Road) – Construction of sidewalk between Route 601 (Old Garth Road) and Route 656 (Georgetown Road). Expect daily, intermittent lane closures. Anticipated completion June 2018.
(NEW) Route 654 (Barracks Road) – Inspection of Route 29/250 bridge over Route 654. Expect lane closures Monday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
(NEW) Route 708 (Red Hill Road) – Inspection of bridge over North Fork Hardware River. Expect lane closures Monday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Route 743 (Hydraulic Road) – Construction of sidewalk from Route 1315 (Commonwealth Drive) to Route 656 (Georgetown Road). Expect daily, intermittent lane closures. Anticipated completion June 2018.
(NEW) Route 810 (Blackwells Hollow Road) – Rehabilitating bridge over Halls Creek. Road closed to through traffic June 11-Sept. 7. Use alternate routes.
Culpeper County
(NEW) Route 3 (Germanna Highway) – Inspection of bridge over Rapidan River. Expect lane closures Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
(NEW) Route 29 (James Monroe Highway) – Inspection of bridge over Crooked Run. Expect lane closures Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
(NEW) Route 229 (Rixeyville Road) – Bridge work over Muddy Run. Expect lane closures Tuesday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Fauquier County
(UPDATE) Interstate 66 – Eastbound bridge deck repairs over Route 55 (John Marshall Highway). Expect lane closures Sunday through Thursday from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. Obey traffic controls.
(UPDATE) Interstate 66 – Rehabilitating bridge over Route 725 (Tuckers Lane).

(NEW) Route 17 (James Madison Highway) – Utility work under VDOT permit at Route 699 (Merry Oaks Road). Right lane closed Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
(NEW) Route 211 (Lee Highway) – Eastbound milling and paving operations in the town of Warrenton. Expect lane closures Monday through Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Route 688 (Leeds Manor Road) – Rehabilitating Interstate 66 bridge over Route 688. Expect intermittent lane closures controlled by flagging while crews work underneath the bridge Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
(NEW) Route 715 (Old Carters Mill Road) – Rehabilitating bridge over Cromwells Run. Road closed to through traffic June 11-July 13. Use alternate routes.
Route 724 (Pleasant Vale Road) – Rehabilitating Interstate 66 bridge over Route 724. Expect intermittent lane closures controlled by flagging while crews work underneath the bridge Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Route 731 (Cobbler Mountain Road) – Rehabilitating Interstate 66 bridge over Route 731. intermittent lane closures controlled by flagging while crews work underneath the bridge Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Fluvanna County
(NEW) Route 605 (Shannon Hill Road) – Pipe installation between the Goochland County line and Route 659 (Stage Junction Road). Expect lane closures controlled by flagging Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Greene County
(NEW) Route 33 (Spotswood Trail) – Guardrail repairs between Route 625 (Goose Pond Road) and the Rockingham County line. Expect lane closures Thursday and Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Louisa County
Interstate 64 – Installation of signs eastbound near mile marker 136 and westbound near mile marker 137. Be alert for workers near the travel lanes Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route 522 (Cross County Road) – Pavement marking and line painting between Route 663 (Owens Creek Road) and Route 33 (Jefferson Highway). Expect lane closures Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
(NEW) Route 696 (Mallory Road) – Shoulder repairs from Route 250 (Three Notch Road) to Route 626 (Jordon Store Road). Expect lane closures controlled by flagging Monday through Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Orange County
(NEW) Route 231 (Blue Ridge Turnpike) – Inspection of bridge over Rapidan River. Expect lane closures Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Rappahannock County
(UPDATE) Route 522 (Sperryville Pike) – Bridge repairs over Blackwater Creek near Route 604 (Round Hill Road). Expect lane closures controlled by flagging Monday through Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
