Community Quilting Bee at Virginia Quilt Museum

virginia quilt museumThe Virginia Quilt Museum opens its doors for First Friday, May 6, from 5:00-8:00 pm.  Commence the 2016 Community Quilting Bee!

Take a seat around the quilting frame and enjoy conversation and camaraderie while stitching on this Baskets CQB quilt.  Children are invited to join a “Quilt Anatomy” Scavenger Hunt at 6:00 or 6:30.  We’re also one of 15 stops on the Collins Center “Chocolate Walk”, so bring your ticket for a unique locally-made, decadent treat.

As always, VQM admission is free during First Friday events.

The Virginia Quilt Museum was founded in 1995 and exists to celebrate quilting in Virginia.  The Museum is a 501(c)3 non-profit funded solely through private donations, memberships, and revenue from admissions and museum shop sales.  The Virginia Quilt Museum receives no federal or state funding.
