Columbia Gas of Virginia has donated $5,000 to the Valley Mission in support of replacing the aging heating equipment and for their work in providing basic needs for those who are homeless and hungry in the Staunton area.
“We are pleased to provide this financial support to the Valley Mission team who provides exceptional support and hope to those in need,” said Columbia Gas of Virginia President Brent Archer. “There are many people in our community in desperate need of a warm, safe place to have a meal and housing. We hope our support can make a difference in providing shelter for men, women and families as the winter approaches increasing the demand.”
In the past five years, Columbia Gas of Virginia and the NiSource Foundation has provided more than $1.6 million in charitable contributions across the Commonwealth.
