College adding Spanish-language pages to website

Bridgewater College has begun adding pages in Spanish to its website as a way to help Spanish-speaking parents of prospective students learn about the college.

The Spanish-language web pages include information on Bridgewater College, the application process, tuition, financial aid and work-study opportunities, plus a frequently-asked-questions section.

“Bridgewater College was the first private, coeducational college in Virginia, and, therefore, has a long history of welcoming diverse populations,” said Abbie Parkhurst, director of marketing and communications at Bridgewater. “As demographics continue to shift locally and beyond, Bridgewater needs to do its part to shift as well in an effort to make higher education attainable and affordable for all. This is another step toward that goal.”

Bridgewater’s Spanish-language Web pages may be accessed at www.bridgewater.edu/Admissions/Spanish/ParaFuturosPadresdeBC.
