CoConstruct, a web-based project management system for custom home builders and remodelers, will invest $485,000 to expand its IT operation in Albemarle County. The project will create 69 new jobs.

Founded in 2004, CoConstruct provides custom home builders and remodelers with web-based and mobile apps to streamline the home-building process. The company focuses on simplifying the key areas of selections, scheduling, change orders, client/vendor communication management, to-do and warranty item management, files and photos, and more.

“My wife and I chose to relocate to Albemarle County because of the great quality of life—outdoor activities, top-ranked schools, and cultural opportunities,” said CoConstruct Founder and CEO Donny Wyatt. “And when our experience building a home prompted the idea for CoConstruct, it was only natural to want to establish the company here. As we rapidly grow our team, we leverage those same benefits of the area to help us import talent from across the country.”
The Virginia Economic Development Partnership will support CoConstruct’s job creation through its Virginia Jobs Investment Program (VJIP). VJIP provides consultative services and funding to companies creating new jobs or experiencing technological change to support employee training activities. As a business incentive supporting economic development, VJIP reduces the human resource costs of new and expanding companies. VJIP is state-funded, demonstrating Virginia’s commitment to enhancing job opportunities for its citizens.
