Kari L. Somers, CNM WHNP will be joining Augusta Health Care for Women on April 2.
Originally from Maine, she fell in love with the Valley while attending James Madison University. She went on receive her master’s in women’s health and nurse midwifery at the University of Pennsylvania. She and her boyfriend Matt are excited to be returning to the Shenandoah Valley.
Somers enjoys the opportunity to become a part of the “family-centered” pregnancy and birthing process. Her overall goal is to make it both a rewarding and satisfying experience that can be treasured for a lifetime. She also has a special interest in adolescent and adult gynecologic care. She will be joining Dr. Dan McMillan, Dr. Kelly Jensen, Dr. Molly Gilham, and Certified Nurse Midwives, Mary Kwiecinski and Debbi Meslar-Little.
