businessThe Valley Mission is currently accepting vendor applications for a Neighborhood Market event to be held on Saturday, June 23, in the parking lot of 1600 W. Beverley Street in Staunton.

This will be the first year for the event, which the Valley Mission states will feature juried vendors of vintage, handmade and repurposed goods. In addition, Valley Mission is encouraging middle and high school age youth interested in selling their vintage, handmade and repurposed goods/wares/products/clothing to participate. This is a great opportunity for youth entrepreneurs to launch their products to the community.

The Neighborhood Market will be free and open to the public on Saturday, June 23, from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm. The rain date for the event has been set as Saturday, June 30.

Registration fees collected for this event benefit Valley Mission, Inc. Since 1971 the Valley Mission has provided shelter, support, hope and God’s love to the homeless. Basic needs of shelter, food, clothing and spiritual encouragement are provided to all.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis with a focus on sought after vintage, handmade and repurposed objects, furniture, clothing, accessories and wares.  Interested vendors, collectors, curators and individuals should apply through the website www.valleymission.net , call (540) 886-4673 or email: [email protected]  for additional information. Limited spaces are available. Registration fees begin at $30 per 10×17 spaces. Vendors also have the option of renting tables and chairs for their wares.
