The best places to take the kids this summer in Europe

earthFamily holidays will always be stressful to organise, but the best way to get the most out of your holiday is to take a trip to some of the best child friendly cities in Europe. When travelling round Europe, you will find there are so many activities, things to see and do for children of all ages to keep them entertained. The only thing you need to worry about is organising passport photos, making sure all European Health Insurance card renewals have been dealt with and making lists of things that need to be packed.

Sweden

Places in Sweden are one of the top European countries that are incredibly family friendly. There are many children attractions suitable for those of all ages.  One of the best activities to take your children to is Sommerland, a water park in Skara. It is located in the middle of Sweden and features a water cannon, lagoon, 21 meter free fall into the water and a fairly new ride, Cobra which is a fun ride all the family can take part in. As well as a water park, Sweden houses the biggest Scandinavia amusement park which promises to have something for all the family, young and old. Liseberg Amusement Park also has one of the fastest roller coasters as well as hosting large scale events like sing-a-longs and concerts throughout summer.

France

Unsurprisingly France is one of the most visited European countries. France is one place that has so much fun to offer families from fun street performers to Disneyland Paris, where children can meet all their favourite characters. Another attraction that older children will appreciate is the capitals monument, the Eiffel Tower, where families can choose to take the stairs or the lift but all will be rewarded with a 360 degree view of Paris. France has many child friendly museums, parks, galleries and restaurants making this place a hot spot for people of all ages.

England

From the much loved classic Paddington bear to the world known Harry Potter, England is home to many different stories children of all ages know and love. So why not take a trip to the place that houses so many different literary classics. In London if your children are fan of the Harry Potter books or films they can travel to the Warner Bros. Studio tour in London.

If your children enjoy more action based activities then the capital, London has so many to choose from which include interactive museums to real life castles, towers and guards. For the park lovers there are many to choose from, including Kensington Gardens which features a statue of the much loved Peter Pan, a perfect place for families to enjoy picnics.

Germany

If you have booked a family holiday in Germany, then adults and children alike are in for a treat. The majority of Germany’s architecture looks very much like something out of a fairy tale with countless castles, palaces, medieval towns, and parks and gardens. Which makes sense seeing as Germany is also home to many literary classics including the worldly popular Brother’s Grimm and their fairy tales. On top of that Germany also features one of the world’s largest water parks, countless museums, and many zoos. One of the zoos, Berlin zoo boasts of being the most species-rich zoo worldwide where visitors can discover some of the most endangered species as well as polar bears, elephants, seals, lions and giraffes.

Family holidays are known for being stressful, yet they don’t have to be. The best way to compromise is to let each member choose an activity they would like to do on the holiday then everyone gets to enjoy something they have chosen, with it being a relaxing and fun experience.
