lgo_mlb_baltimore_oriolesChris Tillman won his second game of 2015 and got some help from the Baltimore bullpen to key a 4-1 O’s victory over the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park on Saturday.

Tillman (2-1) gave up a run on six hits and two walks in five and a third innings, striking out five. The Sox made Tillman work deep into counts: he threw 105 pitches, 65 for strikes, but was battling the pitch count all game.

The pen was masterful, allowing just two baserunners, one hit and one walk, in three and two-thirds innings of relief.

Zach Britton picked up his fourth save of 2015 with a perfect ninth, getting two strikeouts in the inning.

The O’s touched up BoSox starter Clay Buchholz (1-2) for 11 hits in six innings of work, but Buchholz only allowed two Baltimore runs.

Baltimore got a two-run homer by Chris Davis, his second of the season, in the ninth off reliever Robbie Ross Jr. to give Britton some breathing room in the bottom of the ninth.
