Pinero Gets Bat Going

After a slow start to the season, Daniel Pinero was on fire last week. The junior was 10-for-17 (.588) last week, scoring six runs while also driving in six runs. He had at least one RBI in each of the four games. Pinero was 3-for-26 (.115) over the first two weeks of the season.

Noting Wagner

Wagner enters the week with a 3-2 record after sweeping a doubleheader at Norfolk State on Sunday. Nick Mascelli is off to a hot start, going 15-for-24 (.625) with a team-high five RBI. Wagner went 27-23-1 last year, including a 15-9 mark in NEC play. The Seahawks return 20 letterwinners, including five position starters, from that team.
