Wei-Yin Chen went six innings to get his 11th win of the year as the Baltimore Orioles took Game 1 of a day-night doubleheader from the New York Yankees, 9-2, on Saturday.
Chen (11-8, 3.34 ERA) gave up two runs on four hits in six innings, striking out three and walking three.
Ivan Nova (6-11, 5.07 ERA) took the loss for the Yankees, giving up five runs on eight hits in five and two-thirds.
Manny Machado hit his 34th homer of the season for the O’s (79-81).
