Augusta: Walk-a-thon to benefit substance-abuse recovery

A Recovery Walk-A-Thon is set for Saturday morning at Beverley Manor Middle School west of Staunton to raise money and awareness of local substance-abuse recovery efforts.

Registration begins at 9 a.m., and the walk starts at 10 a.m.

Thie event is being organized by a community coalition that includes Valley Community Services Board, Mental Health America-Augusta, the Shenandoah Chapter of the Virginia Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors and Recovery Choice at Augusta Medical Center.
