Members of the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office and Augusta County Animal Control were dispatched to the 200 block of Troxel Gap Road, Middlebrook, for the report of six dogs that had been shot and killed.
Deputies discovered the deceased hounds, discarded over a steep embankment, with apparent gunshot wounds.
Their estimated age was between four to six months.
