redskins_scriptrWashington committed four fourth-quarter turnovers, the last a picksix thrown by quarterback Kirk Cousins that ended a last-ditch drive, and Arizona escaped with a 30-20 win on Sunday.

Washington (1-5) outgained the Cardinals (4-1) 407-317, and Cousins threw for 354 yards and two touchdowns, but the third-year quarterback threw three fourth-quarter interceptions.

Even so, a Cousins-to-Pierre Garcon 5-yard TD pass with 2:17 to go cut the Arizona lead to 23-20, and after the D forced a Cards three-and-out, Cousins got the ball back with 29 seconds to go with one last chance to force overtime or win the game.

Cousins’ first-down pass was intercepted by Rashad Johnson and returned 28 yards for the game-clinching touchdown.

The loss drops Washington four games behind NFC East-leading Dallas, a 27-23 winner at Seattle on Sunday.

Washington hosts Tennessee on Sunday at 1 p.m. at FedEx Field.
