virginia logoApplied Predictive Technologies, a leading cloud-based analytics software company, will expand its headquarters operation in Arlington County. Virginia successfully competed against North Carolina and Washington, D.C., for the project, which will create 368 new jobs.

“Applied Predictive Technologies, headquartered in Virginia, is a world-class company and it was a high priority of our administration to ensure that APT continued to grow in the Commonwealth,” Governor McAuliffe said. “APT is a strong corporate citizen that boosts Virginia’s position as a technology industry leader, and its decision to expand in Arlington County is a testament to the region’s high-tech workforce and IT infrastructure. We want to ensure our existing businesses continue to choose the Commonwealth, and this significant project is evidence of our ongoing success in diversifying and building a new Virginia economy.”

“APT’s expansion in Arlington County attests to the superior business environment that Virginia offers,” said Secretary of Commerce and Trade Maurice Jones. “The retention of APT as a corporate partner not only creates new jobs but also supports business growth throughout the Commonwealth through its client services. I congratulate Arlington County on this exciting news and wish the company the best in this next phase of its business development.”

APT, a MasterCard company, enables organizations to rapidly and precisely measure cause-and-effect relationships between business initiatives and outcomes to generate economic value. Its intuitive and proprietary Test & Learn® software uses sophisticated algorithms to analyze large amounts of data, enabling business leaders to conduct experiments and allowing them to make optimal decisions and implement business initiatives at scale.

APT also offers products that support decision-making for specific business needs including transaction analysis, space planning, promotion design, category management, and location selection. APT’s client portfolio features some of the world’s best known brands, including Walmart, Starbucks, Coca-Cola, Victoria’s Secret, American Family, Choice Hotels, SUBWAY, TD Bank, T-Mobile and others. APT has offices in Arlington, San Francisco, London, Bentonville, Taipei, Tokyo, Sydney and Chicago.

“We are excited to take on a new chapter in our growth with an expanded headquarters that will continue to attract some of the very best tech talent to our region,” said Anthony Bruce, CEO of Applied Predictive Technologies. “We look forward to continuing to call Arlington home.”

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership worked with Arlington County to secure the project for Virginia. Governor McAuliffe approved a $1.75 million grant from the Commonwealth’s Opportunity Fund to assist the County with the project. Funding and services to support the company’s employee training activities will also be provided through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program.

“APT is a valued member of Arlington’s business community and has been a leader in our effort to diversify Arlington’s economy and develop our stance as a technology hub,” said Libby Garvey, Chair of the Arlington County Board. “APT’s commitment to stay and expand here in Arlington demonstrates that the resources and opportunities available here are a big part of that success story, and we are thrilled to continue to call APT our partner in business.”

“I applaud the successful efforts of Governor McAuliffe and the Arlington County Board to expand Applied Predictive Technologies in Arlington,” said Senator Barbara Favola. “This cutting-edge company, known for its creative and innovative approach to business analytics, is an essential component to Arlington’s growing tech sector. APT’s decision also shows how our business-friendly culture in Arlington continues to attract investments. Welcome, new APT employees!”
