Apparent homicide in Rockingham

The body of a man found off U.S. 33 near the West Virginia state line on April 10 has been identified, and now the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office has a homicide investigation on its hands.
The victim has been identified as Michael Ryan Tolsdorf, 20, of Staunton, according to a news release issued by the Rockingham sheriff’s office Tuesday afternoon.

Anyone with information about the case or who may have had recent contact with the victim is asked to call the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office at 540.564.3800), Investigator Tim Spitler at 540.654.3843, or Crime Solvers at 540.574.5050.

A $1,000.00 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
