Augusta County LibraryA humorous, family-friendly murder mystery fundraiser, Death by Chocolate, is coming to the Augusta County Library.

The locally written play will feature a “whodunit” storyline centered around a murdered talk show host. Audience members will get to enjoy chocolate refreshments, examine the clues, and try to solve the mystery.

The Friends of the Augusta County Library will also be offering a silent auction with donations from local businesses, including the following:

  • Treats from the Paris Cake Company, Giancarlo Fine European Pastries, and Cocoa Mill Chocolate
  • A $500 vouchers from Housden Photography
  • A Seven Arrows Brewing Mug Club membership
  • An airplane sightseeing tour of the Shenandoah Valley for two people
  • A handmade quilt

Death by Chocolate will take place on Sunday, April 7 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Library’s Fishersville location. The show is family friendly for ages 12 and up and costs $20 per person for general admission and $10 per person for students. Tickets may be purchased at any Augusta County Library location or online at tinyurl.com/ACLDeathByChocolate.

The Fishersville Library is located at 1759 Jefferson Hwy. For questions or information, contact the Augusta County Library at 540-885-3961 or 540-949-6354.
