Don’t want to pay $4 a gallon for gas – or $2 for a half-gallon, or whatever?

Drivers in Harrisonburg will get a temporary break on Wednesday afternoon, courtesy the Sam Rasoul for Congress campaign.

“With gas around $4 per gallon, it is about time we get serious about finding a solution to the fuel crisis,” said Rasoul, the Democratic nominee in the Sixth District, whose campaign will be hosting a relief at the pump event at the Texaco Food Mart on South High Street in Harrisonburg Wednesday afternoon.

For 40 minutes beginning at 4 p.m., the campaign will pump up to 10 gallons of fuel for customers at the gas station at $1 off the listed per-gallon price.

“While this is only a one-time event, we hope it increases awareness of the problem and provides some needed relief for middle class families,” said Rasoul, who is challenging eight-term incumbent Republican Bob Goodlatte in the November election.
