court square theaterHarrisonburg’s Court Square Theater announced the third annual 24 Hour Project, a unique annual fundraising event highlighting a wide variety of performing artists.

The event will take place from 5:00pm on March 18th until 5:00pm on March 19th. Originally scheduled for January, the event was postponed due to winter weather.

Drawing from artists local and broad, the 24 Hour Project celebrates community and collaboration with 24 hours of non-stop performances, featuring music, drama, comedy, dance, poetry, workshops, and many other art forms.

This year’s event includes local talent such as musicians Azores and Grattan Roots, comedy by Nickels & Wiener and Jay Zehr, dance from the Harrisonburg Dance Cooperative, a selection of short films including highlights from the Super Gr8 Film Festival, and several other offerings.

A full schedule of performances is available online at valleyarts.org/24hourproject.

Admission to the event is $10, which provides attendees with a wristband that allows them to come and go, as long as seats are available in the theater. For reserved seating, attendees can become an event sponsor at $100 per ticket, which provides additional recognition at the event and online.

Visit valleyarts.org or call 540.433.9189 for more information and to purchase tickets.
