2014 Countdown for WTA’s Talent Night in Waynesboro
Host Lorie Strother, the Dreaded Blues Lady, is preparing for the final five rounds of the WTA’s Open Mic Talent Night.
The Thursday, Jan. 2 round begins at 7 p.m. at WTA’s Gateway, 329 West Main in Downtown Waynesboro. “Every entertainer who performs in the room loves the intimacy and the acoustics,” Strother added. “There is no better place for new talent to spread their wings and for those who have been warming up for a long time to come.”
The winner of the January Talent Night will walk away with a cash prize and an invitation to return for the Talent Night Finale on Saturday, June 7. The winner is selected by the audience. Everyone who contributes $1 or more gets a ballot and an opportunity to select the evenings winning talent.
Performers are asked to arrive as close to 7 pm as possible and to register for a performance slot. The lineup is determined by a drawing. Each act will have 10 minutes on the Gateway stage.
Admission is free.
