Virginia trailed winless Lehigh late in the first half before closing on a 12-4 run, then taking control with an 11-0 run in the second half en route to posting a 80-54 win over the Mountain Hawks on Wednesday night.
The 12th-ranked Cavs (5-1) led 35-28 at the break after going cold from the floor for a long stretch of the first half, missing 12 of 14 shots at one point.
A Jesse Chuku layup with 19:31 to go cut the UVA lead to 35-30. The ‘Hoos responded with an 11-0 run to boost the lead into double digits, and it would get no closer than 13 the rest of the way.
Malcolm Brogdon scored a game-high 23 points on 10-of-15 shooting.
