fms golfThe top-ranked Fishburne Military School golf team improved to 6-0 on the season Tuesday with a 157-222 victory over Holy Cross at the Waynesboro Country Club.

Fishburne was led by low medalist Nick Fedchock, who shot an even-par 36. Also contributing were Matthew Manos, who came in with a 1-over 37, Reid D’Amico who shot a season-low score of 4-over 40, and Collin Wade came in with a 44. Also shooting 44s were Hunter Couchot and Joseph Baan.

“Anytime you come in with a team score under 160, it’s not a good day, it’s a great day,” FMS coach Patrick Shiflett said. “I think the boys are finding their groove now, shooting under 160 two tournaments in a row. Coach Sayre and I are very pleased with the progress the guys are making, especially having the whole team come with scores under 45. Hats off to Nick Fedchock for going low and also Reid D’Amico coming in with his season low score.”

Next up for the Caissons will be Miller School at home on Monday, then traveling to Louisa on Tuesday to take on Covenant in a rematch.
