The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for Augusta County up the Shenandoah Valley into West Virginia and Maryland that goes into effect at 7 p.m. Thursday and runs through 10 a.m. Friday.
Air temperatures are expected to drop into the teens and single digits in some areas overnight, with wind chills five to fifteen degrees below zero late this evening dipping as low as twenty degrees below overnight.
Winds are forecast in the 20 to 30 mph range with gusts up to 50 mph above 1,500 feet.
