The Waynesboro Police Department is requesting assistance from the community to help identify an individual involved in credit card fraud from a local business.

On January 27, 2016 at approximately 11:20 PM, the suspect described as a black male possibly in his late 20s to early 30s entered Sheetz, 2156 West Main Street.  He used a “skimmed” credit card from a 24-year-old Centerville woman to purchase $300 worth of cigarettes.

The suspect was in the store for approximately ten minutes.   In the first & second images, he is seen wearing a fur lined parka.  He then leaves the store to go to a silver sedan parked behind the business.  He returns to the store a few minutes later without the parka but now seen wearing a Bomber/Aviator hat and a blue plaid shirt.  There was likely a second individual acting as the driver.

If anyone has information as to the identity of these individuals, please call the Waynesboro Police Department at (540) 942-6675 to speak with Detective Sue Vance or call Central Shenandoah Crime Stoppers at (800) 322-2017.  Anyone who gives information that leads to an arrest of the offender can receive a cash reward.
