Waynesboro Police Auxiliary holds awards ceremony

waynesboroThe Waynesboro Police Auxiliary held its annual awards program last week at the Waynesboro Police Department headquarters during the organization’s monthly training meeting.

During the program, two auxiliary members and one long-time department employee were presented with awards for outstanding contributions to the auxiliary unit, as well as the city.

Colonel Rod Campbell, Chief of the Auxiliary, presided over the ceremony and presented the following awards.

  • Auxiliary Captain Daniel Sandridge –2016 Auxiliary Officer of the Year
  • Auxiliary Captain Corey Fox – Most volunteer hours worked in 2016 (323.5)
  • Police Department Office Manager Jeanie Surratt – Curtis Glass Award for Excellence
