policeThe Waynesboro Police Department cited a Waynesboro man for marijuana possession Thursday morning after he made a 911 call to the Waynesboro Emergency Operations Center in a disoriented state requesting drug paraphernalia.  Kyle Dustin Head, 24 years old, was apparently under the influence of a marijuana when he called 911 and asked the telecommunicator for rolling papers.

Instead of honoring his requesting, the telecommunicator sent two officers to Head’s location which was in the 1800 block of North Talbott Place.  They found him sitting in a parked 2005 Chevrolet pick-up truck which had the strong odor of marijuana emanating from it.  The officers also noticed the green leafy substance on Head’s clothing, the dash board of his truck, the passenger seat and in his right ear.

Head admitted to smoking marijuana recently and said he thought he was speaking with a friend when he was speaking with the 911 telecommunicator.  He was cited for misdemeanor marijuana possession and released.
