UVa. (21-5, 12-1 ACC) is a season-high 13th in the USA Today coaches poll and 14th in the associated press poll this week.
Virginia is also a season-high seventh in the Ken Pomeroy power rankings. ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi has the ‘Hoos as a #3 seed in his latest bracket projections, another season-high.
The NCAA RPI has Virginia at 17th this week. UVa. is 15th in the ESPN RPI and 16th in the ESPN BPI.
The team plays at Virginia Tech Tuesday night before returning home this Saturday for a game against Notre Dame to begin a three-game homestand that includes games against Miami (Feb. 26) and #1 Syracuse (March 1).
